There is no such thing as the poop fairy. Nobody magically comes around to pick-up the excrement that came out of your dog. It’s up to you! Please come prepared to clean up after your pooch if a poop event happens. That’s how it works at dog parks, and everywhere else.

Before you arrive, please wipe any eye-snot off your dog’s face.

If your dog is a heavy drooler, we might get some funny shots, but sometimes the drool winds up on top of the snout or around the eyes or ears, and that’s not ideal. So if you have one of those dogs, I recommend bringing a towel so that you can clean up your dog’s face when things get messy.

If we are meeting-up at a dog park… it’s a good idea to bring a tennis ball and maybe some doggie treats if the dog park allows them. But don’t give other dogs treats unless their owners approve.

Another good idea would be to bring a jug of water and a water bowl in case the dog park does not have this amenity… because your dog might go wild with running around and playing with the other dogs.

We will get better photographic results if your dog wears a collar instead of a harness. (It’s up to you.)

If your dog does not behave well with other dogs, then dog park photography is not for you. Let’s pick another location.

If your dog is not up-to-date with his/her vaccinations, then your dog probably shouldn’t be at a dog park.

Puppies under 16 weeks old do not belong in a dog park. They need to get their vaccinations, some of which come in several doses spread over a course of time.

This is a freestyle sort of photography session. Dogs have short attention spans. I get the shots I can.

If you want me to replicate a shot on my website with your dog, that is extremely difficult to do. I can try, but there is no guarantee I can get that exact shot.

Even if I get the shot, I won’t know for certain that I nailed it until I am offsite and review it, because not everything I shoot is in perfect focus.

Receiving the best images I shoot will be a little like receiving a year-end holiday gift as a kid. You just won’t know what you’re getting till it is time to view the files. My aim is to make that a happy moment, where you get at least one great shot that you love and made the whole venture worth it.

Happy customers are what I strive for. It’s important to me.

The most important point:

You are solely responsible for your dog. If your dog attacks another dog, or your dog gets attacked, the matter is solely yours to deal with. So watch over your dog the entire time and be prepared to step in.
